The PhD school will feature multidisciplinary and innovative academic and research-oriented lectures, seminars, and projects focusing on zero emissions mobility. Teaching will be accompanied from research, practical training, and interactive discussions.
PhD students enrolled in Industrial Engineering areas PhD program for the academic years 2023-2027 are strongly encouraged and eligible to apply.
The PhD School is free of charge for:
- 20 international PhD students, primarily enrolled in non-Italian PhD program, awarded with scholarships;
- 10 PhD students from the PhD program in Industrial Engineering of the DII at University of Naples Federico II;
- 10 PhD students from other Italian PhD program from academic and research institutes.
For international PhD students enrolled in a non-Italian PhD program, the University of Naples Federico II reserves 20 scholarships, each amounting to €1,200.00 (net payment).
Other further 10 international PhD students, primarily enrolled in non-Italian PhD programs, can be admitted to PhD School on “TOWARDS ZERO EMISSIONS MOBILITY by paying an enrolment fee of 420 €.
All participants will be offered the following services:
- Training activities: Lectures, workshops, seminars, etc.
- Teaching materials: presentations, etc.
- Certificate of participation: Certificate that certifies your participation in the course
- Coffee break and light lunch: offered during activity breaks
- Social events (Welcome Cocktail and Social Dinner): included in the fee and scholarships, represent an opportunity to socialize.
The application form must be dated, signed (failure to do so will result in exclusion) and accompanied by:
- Curriculum Vitae et Studiorum, including a description of the PhD program and its alignment with the topics of the current edition of the school (as listed in art. 2), in European format, in English, and duly signed;
- PhD program enrollment certificate (complete with enrollment number);
- Copy of a valid identity document (passport for non-EU applicants);
- Letters of Recommendation from academic or professional references;
- Motivational letter in English (max 1 page);
- Non-native English-speaking participants have to provide a document stating their English level.
The application must be submitted, under penalty of exclusion, by 15:00 (CET) of the 28th June 2026. The documents to be enclosed in electronic format, must be in PDF/A format (compliant with ISO 19005-1), sent via email from the institutional account to the email address
